About Me.
Are you tired of living among the fitnah in the West? Do you want to protect your family and safeguard them and their religion?
Hi, my name is Yaqoob. I am living in the West currently and looking for a way out.
I am here to document my experience and anything I find along the way.
Things like:
- Visas and passports in different Muslim countries
- Questions people have while or prior to wanting to make hijrah
- Dealing with family
- Logistical concerns
All from the perspective of a Muslim, like you, who wants to leave the West.
The West is slowly becoming a place where it is getting harder and harder to practice Islam.
Look to our brothers and sisters in France: no hijab allowed in schools, parents being questioned on why their kids are taking Eid off. Look to the Muslim families that get torn apart by a system that fundamentally does not agree with your religion and way of life.
I get it.
You may not personally know people that struggle in the West.
You see families that come from Muslim countries even, finding a place for themselves.
But you don’t realise that these countries are slowly losing the power they once had.
It is hard to live and afford to pay the bills in the West.
You may not see it, but it’s there.
I have seen with my own eyes people living in a caravan on the side of the road.
Nowhere to go.
Housing crises everywhere (including Muslim countries as well), inflation.
We pretend like the West is just so great and the economy is perfect.
This is happening in the West as well, not just Muslim countries, and just because you don’t struggle with it doesn’t mean your kids won’t.
Dunyah matters aside, the “dawah” given in the West is being given to us. As Muslims, people now find it appropriate to “compromise” to be more “friendly” with the non-Muslims for the sake of “dawah.”
I’m not saying don’t be friendly, but there is only so far you can go—limits—before you start to turn to haram while being completely blind to the fact that the non-Muslims are giving dawah to you.
It’s called assimilation.
You see it all over Western politics. Muslims don’t find a place in right-wing politics because they want you to assimilate.
Become more like them.
Left-wing politics requires you to agree with the ideals of liberals and is a more hidden assimilation.
Maybe you still don’t agree.
And to that I say: I am not here to convince you.
But just remember that nowhere is perfect—not even the Muslim lands.
But I would rather, myself, raise a family and move my life to a place where Islam is not strange.
